Maya Callaway '18 Recruiting Profile

I want to go to college to be successful in life, which to me includes lessons learned through sports and in the classroom.  I am a visual learner which works well when playing sports when someone can demonstrate the proper technique and for academics when problems are demonstrated in class.

I want to play for a competitive program as I am a very competitive person.  I am a good candidate for any team as I am the consummate teammate.  I get along with all types of people, I make those around me want to perform better as I have high expectations on myself as well as my teammates, but motivate myself and others in a fun, positive way.  I have been described as fun, bubbly and intense all a the same time. I also try my best every day in both practice and games.  Both of my parents were college athletes as well as excellent students, and have instilled the values of collegiate academics and athletics and how to balance them to be successful.  I know I can play college volleyball and see myself as an asset to whichever program will give me the chance.
