Hi! My name is Lauryn Pietrzak and I am a 2021 Libero/DS from Orono High School in Long Lake, Minnesota. I have been a multi-sport athlete throughout my athletic career: being a nationally ranked gymnast, setting school records in track and field, and consistently making a 1's team on a competitive club volleyball team while also maintaining a near-perfect 3.9 GPA. Volleyball is an integral part of my life and has been for many years. Playing volleyball for me is a year round commitment. I've been a starter on our varsity team the last three years and have competed at the AAU National Volleyball Tournament with my travel/club team. I work on strength and conditioning training throughout the year along with private lessons in between seasons and participate in beach volleyball tournaments over the summer. I have been recognized by my coaches and teammates as a leader. I was named a captain of my 16-1's club team at Vital Volleyball Club and a captain of my high school varsity team for the 2020 season. My coaches recognize a shift in the energy on the court when I am playing. I know how to rally a team, play with intensity and have fun! I believe in the motto, "Don't make the same mistake twice". Volleyball is a game of mistakes. I listen to coach feedback and make the necessary changes to improve my game and support the team. My goal is to continue my volleyball career at a collegiate level and contribute to the success of a team with my explosive defense, high ace percentage and my consistent ball control in serve receive.
