Personal Statement
I love volleyball! It’s a team sport! I am fortunate to have the means, support, and skill to play this wonderful game for so many years. I am fueled by competing and building relationships with my teammates and most importantly having fun!
In every game I show up with pride in being a leader who can motivate her team through encouragement and cheering, I am referred to as ‘the voice.’ My favorite set is to the ‘hottest hitter’ on the court and those that keep the blockers guessing.
I believe and value the importance defense has in the game and I have as much passion playing DS along with setter. I feel my energy, coachability, leadership, competitiveness, and drive to achieve success will translate into me being a great college player.
At school, I am a curious and hardworking student who maintains a high GPA (3.86) and a member of the National Honor Society. I challenge myself to always be learning by taking honors classes and holding my academics to a high standard. I push myself for excellence in both the classroom and on the volleyball floor.
I also volunteer at youth camps/ clinics at both my high school and club.
I have a job, I work for Lifetime Fitness as a summer camp counselor, and Kids Activities team member. I specifically chose to work there, because besides volleyball, I have a love for engaging, interacting, and teaching kids! This job perfectly gets me ready for my ideal job in the Elementary Education field.
I am beyond excited to begin my college experience! I’m researching schools specifically with my education/ teaching major and a volleyball program that would be the best fit for me to bring value to the team. My ultimate goal throughout this experience is find the school that can make me happy and successful both on and off the court.
