I was a gymnast for 6 years and though I loved it, I decided that I wanted to pursue a different sport. Volleyball peaked my interest. I knew that I would be starting later than most people but I was determined to succeed. I spent countless hours in the gym each day learning the basics and building my knowledge of volleyball.
Though I was a primary setter during my previous club seasons, it was during my freshman year that I was asked to play DS for Junior Varsity. Utilizing the same skills that I used when switching sports, I was able to make a smooth transition and I ended up being asked to play Varsity. It was at that point I realized I had a passion for playing defense and now I am a starting libero for the top elite club in Minnesota. I’m looking for a college where I cannot only exceed athletically, but also academically. I am confident that I can offer a lot to a program through my dedication, work ethic and wiliness to do what it takes to help the team succeed.
