Personal Statement
I have learned so many great life skills through this sport: teamwork, communication, dedication and hard work just to name a few. My love for volleyball started back in the 5th grade. My mom had signed me up and she told me that she would be coaching, so right then and there I was excited to begin my volleyball journey. Volleyball has always been a popular sport at our school and I remember as a kid going to watch the varsity team playing and wishing one day that I could become one of them. I can't imagine my life without volleyball now. Getting to lace up my shoes and go to practice or games is the best feeling and I am so thankful to be able to play. I never knew one sport could mean so much to me. But looking back now I can't thank my mom enough for signing me up to play.
I'm still unsure about my college degree and what field I want to go into, but I want to get a great education and do well in my classes. I have a 3.9 GPA and take many college classes that are offered at my high school. I also play varsity basketball and am a 4-year varsity starter in softball and involved in the Minnesota Honor Society. I am very competitive, focused, and have a strong drive to succeed as well as helping others.
