Annika Haak '24 Recruiting Profile

I have played volleyball for seven years. Over that time, I have consistently pushed myself and my teammates to improve, be the best players we can be, and win. As a setter I'm expected to balance the demands of my teammates and the coaches, all the while managing the offense against the other team. I excel at this balancing act while leading my team to winning. This was proven by leading my team to the Minnesota State Tournament twice as starting setter and securing 3rd place in 2023. On an individual level, I finished with the 3rd highest number of assists in the state of Minnesota for the 2023 High School season (across all classes) with 911 and was second on my team in digs. I ended my varsity career with 1969 assists.

While winning is important, if we as a team are not unified as friends and teammates, we will have a hard time succeeding as a team. While sometimes tough, I consistently strive to bring unity to my team, even when there are divisions.

I pride myself on being very dependable, once commitments are made following through to completion, and developing strong bonds with my teammates. 

I have continually maintained a high GPA all the while playing year-round volleyball.

My goal for collegiate volleyball is to take a team to the postseason tournament as starting setter.
