As a student athlete my first love is volleyball. I started playing volleyball in my 8th grade year, because of miscommunication I didn't get to play my freshman year, but I love it so much that I became the manager so I could watch and learn more about the sport. Volleyball was something that I fell in love with the minute I started playing it. I had tried other sports and they didn't catch my heart like volleyball. I explained this to my parents by saying that I would rather be a JV player and play every minute of the game, than be moved to varsity and sit most of the time on the bench. I just want to play. I can play any position, except for setter, current position is outside and left back which was suggested by my coach. I am working on that setter position as well. I hope to play volleyball for as long as I can before I become an Allergist.
My goal is to become a Pediatric Allergist and to specialize in helping children with asthma. I was diagnosed with asthma when I was an infant and I have never let it stop me. I want to give other kids that chance and not be held back from what they love by this disease. This is why I work so hard not only at the sport I love but to maintain a high GPA as well.
