Carly Debriyn '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Carly Debriyn. My experiences with volleyball started when i was just 3 years old in the gym and on the court with my mom. Over the years I have learned by watching many players and have seen what it takes to achieve my goals both on and off the courts. Positive Attitude, hard work and discipline. These attributes led me onto the Varsity court as starting setter this year. I was voted by my teammates as team vocal leader.  I also earned All District and All conference honors. Off the court I excel in school maintaining a 3.9 GPA and ranking 2nd in my class, and earning Academic All State.

I’ve also played club volleyball for 5 years. Playing club has given me opportunities to grow as a player and teammate.   I have learned to adapt to a  variety of players and team chemistries.  Being coached by other coaches is preparing me  for the future. I have learned new skills, and have adapted to the variety of coaching styles.   I currently play for Performance Volleyball as setter/RS.

Outside of volleyball I enjoy running track, Crossfit, and spending time with friends and family. I️ am looking for a school that has high academic expectations as well as athletic expectations. I have all the assets of becoming a great leader to all my peers and fellow classmates.
