As a future collegiate athlete one of my biggest goals is to continue to grow both athletically and academically. As a current student athlete I value my education over everything and take it very seriously. Being able to play volleyball is a way for me to have encouragement and motivation to not only complete my school work but also push me to continue my education. Volleyball is also an outlet for me. When school becomes overwhelming, it provides me a space to talk to my coaches and teammates who share my goals and values, and understand what I am wanting to get out of these experiences. Whether it is in my educational or work environment, the communication skills I have developed from talking to my team and coaches are skills I hope to not only continue to use but to grow as well. I am very big on communicating with my team in order to make adjustments and always do everything I can to help us work together to be our best, whether that means I am on the court at the time or not. I will always encourage a positive attitude from myself and my teammates because I believe that is what makes the biggest impact on what happens on the court.
