My ultimate goal is to to play competitive college volleyball while earning a college degree. The major that I am most interested in is Kinesiology to help achieve my goal of becoming a Physical Therapist. I know that playing college volleyball is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.
I have the ability and skill to be a versatile player. For my club team I am a middle hitter which is my primary position. Throughout the high school season, I hit middle, outside, opposite and set dependent on what we are in need of. I am motivated and play with integrity. I am a team leader who believes in leading by example. I am a very coach-able athlete and also a supportive and encouraging teammate. I don't make excuses when I make a mistake and I don't dwell on it, I just focus on becoming better. Not only do I put all in during practice, but I also train extensively throughout the offseason to further develop my skills.
I have played volleyball and basketball ever since I can remember. My parents strongly believe and have taught me that sports are more than athleticism and skill and more about life. They have taught me that sports are much more about leadership, accountability, dedication, hard work, and being part of a team. I have been playing volleyball since the 6th grade and basketball since the 7th grade until the club volleyball and basketball seasons started to overlap. I am not scared of hard work and have found to create a balance between family, academics, and sports.
My love for volleyball is like no other. I know it takes hard work, dedication, and passion to be successful at the next level. I believe I would be a strong asset to your program.
