I have played volleyball since I was 10 years old. I fell in love with the game when I first saw my older sister playing and decided that I wanted to follow in her footsteps and play as well. Ever since then I have played for several club seasons as well as in school. I would love to contiune my vollyeball journey in college while also becoming the first college athlete in my family.
I have strong ball placement skills, a high IQ of the court, good defensive skills, as well as high energy both on and off the court. Just like how you have to adapt to each game you play, I love being an adaptable player, being able to hit on either side of the pins as well as playing defensively in the back row. While I love the sport all on its own, I love all the people I get to meet more. The many different perspectives from each coach, and the strong friendships made with every teammate.
While so much work goes into being both a volleyball and track athlete, just as much work goes into the classroom. Taking several honors and college courses, maintaing a high GPA, and lettering twice academically has all pushed me to continue to be a strong student. Going into college I would love to keep this strong balance between volleyball and academics, and I am looking forward to the expirence.
