Meet Chyanne Robinson
Class of 2026 | Setter/Pin Hitter | Awaken Christian High School, Las Vegas, NV
As a hardworking and dedicated 11th-grade student-athlete, I am deeply passionate about volleyball and have been since I started playing club volleyball in 3rd grade. Over the years, I have grown into a versatile and skilled player, excelling as both a setter and pin hitter. My goal is to play at the collegiate level, where I can continue to develop my skills, contribute to a competitive team, and pursue academic excellence.
This season, I embraced the challenge of transitioning to a setter role for my high school team. The experience strengthened my leadership, adaptability, and ability to manage the game from the court. These qualities have been instrumental in earning accolades such as MVP and First Team All-State honors.
My versatility allows me to impact the game in multiple ways, whether through setting up strong attacks or delivering powerful swings as a pin hitter. Coaches have recognized my ability to communicate effectively, hustle relentlessly, and lead by example.
I plan to major in Communication, with a particular interest in programs that emphasize leadership and social entrepreneurship. I’m drawn to colleges that offer small class sizes, diverse environments, and opportunities for freshmen to integrate seamlessly into campus life.
Coaches and teammates describe me as enthusiastic, eager to learn, and highly motivated to improve. I bring a positive attitude to every practice and match, fostering teamwork and maintaining high morale on and off the court.
Throughout my journey, I have faced challenges with limited feedback from one-directional coaching styles. These experiences have taught me resilience, self-discipline, and the importance of seeking out opportunities to grow independently, such as year-round training, summer camps, and working with experienced mentors like Coach Charles Sams and Coach April Apchap.
I am looking for a mid-sized Division I college that balances athletics and student life. A program that emphasizes leadership development, diversity, and fostering a close-knit community would be the perfect environment for me to thrive.

"Chyanne Robinson exemplifies power and strength with her attacks as a pin hitter and leaves nothing behind in her hustle and communication as a setter. She has shown herself to be a leader and continues to be a dominant presence. Look for Chyanne to have a very impactful club season as she is ready to commit and be an asset to a college roster."
