Emma Reed '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Emma, I’m a rising senior at Sunapee Middle High School where I play varsity volleyball, basketball, and softball and captain the volleyball and basketball teams. My goal is to earn a four year degree in either sports management or sports marketing while also playing volleyball and giving to my community. 

I am late to the recruitment process because only recently have I started to grow into the athlete that I am today. During my freshman year I was 5’2”, shy, and lacking in technical skills. By the fall of my junior year I grew to 5 '10”, gained more muscle, confidence, and skill then I would have let myself imagine. That is when I started looking into playing at a higher level which I wasn't anticipating as a possibility when I was sitting the bench. 

Not only on the court or field but also in the classroom I have been noted to get along with everyone. I am a member of the National Honor Society and a class representative elected to the student council. I volunteer in the community often whether it be coaching a youth recreation team or helping at an annual Empty Bowl Dinner for our local food pantry. While doing this I have earned a 3.2 GPA at the #2 ranked high school in New Hampshire while taking AP, Honors, and Running Start classes. 

In terms of character I would describe myself as coachable, dedicated, hard working, organized, and able to manage my time well. While in high school I worked 2 jobs over the summer, played club volleyball, and participated in summer leagues for all of my sports. I'm excited to see where this process takes me!
