Kaia Bundy '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Kaia Bundy! I go to Mayfield High School in Las Cruces, NM. I have been playing volleyball since 6th grade! I am a 6 rotation player and an extremely hard worker on and off the court. I am a very outgoing person and could spark a conversation very quickly. I am also a very coachable player and a very quick learner! I always give 110% into everything I do. I am a born leader and my attitude is always 100% and never less. I LOVE to compete and win but never get down on my losses, I just learn from them and do better. I am a great candidate for any team because I have the strength for growth and critique, the mindset of a champion, and the voice of a leader. I am very versatile and will play any position and put my all into it. I am also ambidextrous which makes me a versatile player for setting! I have been playing for my Varsity volleyball team since I was a Freshman. My freshman year I was a starting Libero and DS and never stopped grinding to play all around. My sophomore year I became a starting FIRST year setter and accomplished my goal play all-around! What makes me different from other recruits is my work ethic, strength, and mentality. I will not stop working and grinding to become a committed athlete and I am a great teammate and leader for any team. My heart and hardworking mentality for the game of volleyball is unmatched.

In school I hold a 3.9 GPA and work very hard off and on the court! I take AP and Honors classes and I am very involved in my school. I lettered my Freshman year in volleyball and lettered my sophomore year for Student Government. I am Student Body Vice-President for my high school and I am always building my leadership skills on and off the court! In my sophomore year off-season I started Track&Field and Throw for my Varsity Track&Field team which I also lettered in! I am also a part of Mayfield's NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge where me and three other student competed and took 7th overall in the world in the High School category and will be hosting NMASC 2021 (New Mexico association of student council).

I am a very strong and dedicated student athlete! I always work hard with everything I do. My collegiate goals and aspirations are to go to a 4 year University or College hopefully on a athletic scholarship that has a good Pre-Pa program, Forensic Psychology,  Kinesiology major, or Criminology program. I am looking for a college to call home and a team to call family! I handle academics and sports very well and will always be a Student first. Thank you for reading and I hope you put me in mind!
