Joanna Apostolopoulos '28 Recruiting Profile

Hello and thank you for taking the time to view my profile.  My name is Joanna and I am entering the 10th grade for the 2025-2026 school year. Volleyball has become one of the most important things in my life for the past 2.5 years. There is just some type of excitement and love I have for volleyball that is difficult to explain. Given my love and passion for this sport I want to continue my volleyball journey past high school and play at the college level. I have the ability to adapt to other positions other than as a setter. I find it important to become a versatile player. Building strong bonds with my team helps us all become better players and it encourages each other to do our best. We are like a family. Now that club season is over I plan to continue and to maintain as well as learn new skills by continuing beach volleyball in this summer and finding volleyball camps and clinics. I was able to make the JV team as a 9th grader for my school during the 2024-2025 school year, named team captain for my club and CYO teams. I continue to play with the CYO team to gain more experience. My plan is to go for tryouts for the JV team for the 2025-2026 school season as well as continue to play club volleyball with NYCLI.

As a student I maintain average grades of A/B and my future goal is to work professionally in the medical field. I am learning to balance my time between school, homework, practices and games to maintain proper grades. I enjoy traveling to different states for volleyball tournaments as I have the opportunity to see new things as well as meet new players from different teams. You never know when you will meet them again. 

As I am set to graduate in 2028 I look forward to hearing from you as well as expanding my volleyball experience.
