Emma Sipos '20 Recruiting Profile

       Hi! My name is Emma Sipos. I play Libero/DS for Canandaigua Academy where the graduating class size is in excess of 400 students.  In addition, I am an Outside Hitter on my club team,  Xtreme. I have played volleyball for three years  and I love it more and more each practice.  My first year playing volleyball was in 7th grade where i was a starter on my high school's JV team.  In 8th grade,  I was pulled up to be a starter on the Varsity team where I currently play. 

    I am not only looking to succeed in volleyball but also in academics. I maintain a 3.8- 4.0 average while being in all honors classes as I completer my 10th grade year.  I have also been awarded the President's Education Award.  Heading into the future,  I would like to go into the field of Medicine. 

   My teachers would describe me as a hard- worker, friendly and helpful to others around me. My coaches would call me passionate, focused and a leader on and off the court. Through these three years in volleyball, once I step on the court,  I am not only trying to make myself better, I am also trying to make my team better.  To me, it doesn't matter whether you are winning or losing, you should support one another, celebrate the highs and shake off the lows.  I have not only gained knowledge on the sport of volleyball, but gained knowledge to be a good team mate and leader on and off the court.
