Hello my name is Michelle Paulsen and I am a middle and right side hitter for my high school team, Shenendehowa High School in New York. I started playing volleyball when I was in 8th grade and right of the bat I feel in love with volleyball. I would love to play in college and be able to study athletic training at the same time. I always give 100% at every practice because you never know when your last day of playing volleyball is and if you go out knowing that you gave 100% you had the last time you played you wont have any regrets just like Stacy Sykora had said at a conference at the volleyball high performance nationals that I have gone to in 2012, 2013, and 2014. And this volleyball season(2014) I was named New York State Girls Volleyball Championships Class AA All Tournament Team. Volleyball to me is more than a sport you play or a way to stay active and fit but volleyball is my passion. It is a way to break free from all the stress in life and stop enjoy something I love to do. I try pushing myself to new levels from fitness to mental game and academic.I try and use every opportunity that God gives me to the fullest in become stronger and great person and player.
As a player on the court I work with my setter to come out with the best options to win one point at a time. I try to remain a positive and leader on the court even when down in a game that seems almost impossible but I know that every team can make a comeback. I have personaly exspirenced a game where we came out with a win because we never stopped trying even though we were down. I would love to use my skills and ablitys in college and playing in college.
