I picked up my first volleyball at the age of nine and it happened, I immediately fell in love with the game. Ever since I was a child, I attended my sister’s volleyball games and practices knowing that I aspired to play just like her one day. I would sit there and watch until the day I was old enough to finally join a competitive travel team. When I was eleven years old, I tried out for Club Ace Long Island not knowing what team I would be placed on. I later received the news of making the 12 black top travel team. At that moment, my whole entire life changed. It was just the beginning to my long volleyball journey. Every time I stepped on the court I would fall more and more in love with the sport. This made me realize that pursuing volleyball in college was something very important to me. I began to train harder every single day, and continued to progress as I still am today.
Aside from volleyball, I play basketball and lacrosse as well. I also attend a few clubs in school: French Club, Lady Spartans Against Cancer Club, Helping Hands Club, Women in Healthcare and Medicine Club, and Catholic Ambassadors Club. In addition, I volunteer yearly at a summer camp for children and adults with special needs.
Over the years, I have always maintained good grades in school. This past school year, I was inducted into the National Honor Society. I plan to continue the path of being a student-athlete as I advance into college.
