Making the varsity volleyball team as a sophmore when there was cuts was the turning point of my volleyball career. That is when I realized I loved playing at a higher level and pushing myself to be they best player I can be. I've been playing since I was in seventh grade which is when I fell in love with the sport. I was the only girl who could serve overhand on my team and I loved getting aces.
This year I was chosen to be captain. Choosing a junior for captain is unusual for my school but it tells me my coach has faith in my volleyball and leadership skills. I have learned that I am a good leader on and off the court. I am strong, fearless, and tough and I'm not afraid to hit the ground to keep a ball from hitting the ground. Volleyball has taught me that I love to push myself to get better and it has taught me to set goals to reach so I know when I have gotten better. I'm looking for a college where I will fit in athletically where I can push myself to become even better and a college that will be good for me acedemically.
