Jade Carpenter '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Jade Carpenter from Newfane NY. I am a multi-sport athlete and I come from a family of athletes. Both my mother and father were multi-sport athletes, both of my cousins went to college on athletic scholarships, as well as others in my family that were athletes. I have a wonderful and extremely supportive family, and we all support each other not just in life, but sports as well. I first started playing volleyball in seventh grade, and made the JV softball the same year. I have played basketball since fifth grade. I love all my sports, but I truly have a passion for volleyball. I am always looking to improve myself, whether it is on or off the court. I strive to be the best version of myself and challenge myself to be the kind of teammate that is supportive and helpful and what I would appreciate as a player. I am willing to put in the time to do whatever is necessary to be the best player I can be and help my teammates do the same. I am looking forward to playing volleyball at the collegiate level and continue to move forward with my education. I want to be part of a team that builds each other up, supports one another and shares not only the success of winning, but the lessons in losses. I am a versatile player, as I have played every position, except setter, and feel that I have a lot to offer as a player, as I feel that playing and understanding each position is crucial to being a well rounded player. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, my pets, riding my horse, and playing sports in summer leagues when I can.
