Christina Ross '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Christina Ross and I am from Waterloo, NY. I was a setter for my VolleyFX team in Rochester, NY, 17 2’s Illusion and my High School Varsity team.  I am a libero/def player for Volley Magic 18-1 team . Though I only started playing volleyball myself when I was in 7th grade, I have come a long way. I attended as many camps as I could and I go to the gym to practice any chance I can even if it is by myself. This past high school season I made 1st Team Finger Lakes East, 2nd Team All Greater Rochester Team and 4th Team All-State.  Volleyball has been in my family for years because my older sister played in high school and my parents have always loved watching us play. I go to all of the camps and clinics around me whenever I can to make myself a better player overall.  It is my dream to be able to play volleyball in college. This game has developed into something I cannot live without. I always try to keep a positive mindset on and off of the court and if I do get frustrated, I will not let it affect my playing or others around me. I am always making sure i get great grades in school and i have never gotten below High Honor Roll. I am forever grateful for this sport being in my life.
