Personal Statement
Im Sakina Simmons, a 16 year young Junior attending Hillside High school in Durham North Carolina. I am very passionate about the sport of Volleyball, and have been playing since I was in 7th grade. I love volleyball because, it is a team sport and I am an awesome teammate. I love building strong relationships with my teammates to make them feel comforable playing on the court with me. I weigh 140 pounds, and I stand a tall 5'10". I also obtain a vertical aproach of 9'5". I have been playing club volleyball for two years first with Triangle VC, and currently with Jammers VC. I am a middle blocker/hitter, but I am very talented in all aspects of the sport. I have always dreamed of playing sports in college and even playing profesionally. I keep my team motivated with my great sportsmanship and bright smile. I am open to any type of school, that provides me with the option of achieving my major in Law, or Fashion modeling. No matter the team I play for I can make a huge impact on the excitement on the court, I love being loud and keeping the energy level sky high.
