When I began playing volleyball 5 years ago, I had no idea the passion I would develop for the sport. When I started playing in the seventh grade, it was just to try something new. Here I am, almost 5 years later, and I truly do not know where I would be without it. Volleyball has taught me many valuable things, such as how to be a leader, how to work with others, and how to work harder every day to improve myself, both off and on the court.
I have been told by my coaches that I am a leader and a coachable player. I work hard from the start of each game, practice, or whatever the case may be. While I know I cannot win every game, I still come with my best attitude and high hopes daily. I believe that my passion and work ethic set me aside from other players, as well as my willingness to take corrections and apply them to the way I play. I have played all positions across the front row, which I believe has helped me become a more versatile athlete.
I also believe it is important to note that I work just as hard at volleyball as I do in the classroom. I am currently second in my class, and I hope to pursue a career in law. My goal is to attend a four-year university to receive my undergraduate degree, and hopefully play volleyball in my years there.
