Lacey Shelton '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello to all! I am Lacey Shelton, a middle hitter/blocker, as well as a defensive specialist from North Carolina! Currently I am looking at several colleges trying to find the right fit for me. I am very competitive. Recently I was on a state winning Agricultural Issues Debate Forum, and represented North Carolina at the National FFA level. I am also representing NC HOSA District 8 at the NC State HOSA Medical Terminology Spelling Bee. I have been playing volleyball for about 3 years now, ever since I fell in love with the sport in 8th grade. I am currently ranked 4th in my class. As my coach has always taught me- don't give up in yourself, you control your own performance on the court. One motto that I strive to live by on the court is- hustle, hit, never quit. Don't be afraid to hit the floor diving for a ball. You control your actions on the court, perform at the very top but don't forget to have fun while doing what you love
