Megan Craig '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Megan Craig, and I am currently a sophomore in high school. I have been playing volleyball consistently since the 7th grade, both school and club, and have fallen completely in love with the game ever since. My goal is to play at the highest level possible, while still maintaining good mental and physical health. I have played for some incredible teams in my career and hope to continue playing through high school and possibly into college. I am a starting DS/Libero on the RJ Reynolds Varsity volleyball team and play for Champion Volleyball Club in Winston-Salem, NC, 16 Black. I am currently maintaining a 4.0 (unweighted) GPA.

I believe volleyball has truly made me a better person and I bring that to my academics every single day. Being a teammate, even on the bench, is definitely an experience I think everyone should experience at least once. I am so grateful every single time I step onto the court. I am a loved player and teammate that cooperates well with whatever challenges I face. I have been so blessed to be able to play school and club volleyball and would love to continue into college. 

Half way through my freshman club season, I broke my ankle and was out for almost the rest of the season. I begged my parents to still go to all my teams tournaments. Though I was hurt, I still loved watching my team do incredible things. Now even being on the bench, it reminds me how lucky I am to be there in the first place. 

Being on a team that cared for me even when I wasn't playing was one of the greatest experiences that has truly made me who I am.
