Sophia Purgar '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I’m Sophia Purgar. I’m a 5’10 pin hitter from Mentor, Ohio set to graduate NDCL in 2024. I've played volleyball for 9 years, both in a school and club setting. I play JO volleyball at Eastside Cleveland Volleyball in Mentor, OH, competing in various national tournaments. I also stay very active in my school community, participating in club activities and volunteer work when possible. I’m a consistent As student who hopes to study education or nursing in college.  While it can get tricky balancing school life and volleyball, I make sure to give the same 110% to everything I do. I’m dedicated to my team and my amazing teammates; their support keeps me always pushing to get better and give it everything I’ve got. I’d hope to attend and play for a college just like that: one that pushes their players/students to never be satisfied and encourages them each step of the way.
