Personal Statement
I have been playing volleyball for the last seven years, loving both the team aspect of the game and the overall competition. I have recently decided to continue to play in college where I can combine my love of volleyball with my desire to pursue a degree in marine biology, animal sciences, or nursing. I currently have a 3.8 + GPA in all college prep and honors level classes. I enjoy spending my free time working with nonprofit animal rescues where I foster kittens and puppies and help prepare them for a forever home. This opportunity to work with animals has helped me gain empathy, compassion, and responsibility.
I am a varsity libero at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, and I play club ball at Ohio Premier Volleyball Club on the 17-1 Day team. My junior year high school season was the highlight of my volleyball experience this far. After earning the the libero spot my sophomore year, I helped lead my team to the state final four two years in a row. We lost in the semi-finals, but I gave that game everything I had to win. I think my perseverance, work ethic, and leadership will all be great characteristics that would make me an asset to any team.
