Molly Smiddy '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Molly Smiddy, and I am a setter/DS for the class of 2025. I have played volleyball for 5 years, and I love it more every year.  When I step into the gym, I am not only trying to make myself better but also my team. I am a well-rounded volleyball player being able to play any position on the front and back row if necessary.

My ultimate goal is to play competitive college volleyball while earning my college degree. I will be pursuing a degree in Sports Management as I know education is essential to my future success. I know playing volleyball in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that would be a part of me the rest of my life.

I have the ability and skill to be a versatile player. setter.  For my club team, I am a setter and a defensive specialist.  For my elementary school team, I am a setter and right side  hitter who is dedicated, hard-working, and passionate.  I believe in leading by example and being a supportive and encouraging teammate.  I don't dwell on mistakes, or make excuses.  I stay focused on the next play, keeping my team positive, and being the best player I can be.   

I am searching for the best blend of high level volleyball and academic excellence. I am a straight A student just completing the fall semester of my 8th grade year.  I love to compete and also want to be academically challenged in science and math programs.
