Hi!
My name is Addison Knapke. I started as a Freshman this year, breaking the school record for single season Aces and the only Freshman named to 2nd team OCC out of 32 teams. I am a big sister and role model to 3 siblings and the daughter of two supportive parents. Starting at the age of 7, I tried a variety of sports, including gymnastics, cross country, track, basketball and lacrosse. However, my first love has always been volleyball! When I was not in the gym, I would sit in my basement and pass to a friend or go on my driveway and serve against our garage. I couldn’t get enough of the sport. I love the fast pace of the game, the competitive environment and the teamwork and friendships I have developed. For several years, I played 6 rotations (I did love hitting). Being a 5’6” Freshman, I am now focused on being the best defensive specialist I can be. On top of that, I am focused on being the best teammate and leader I can be, both on and off the court.
While I have dedicated a lot of time to improving my volleyball skills, I am also prioritizing my studies to achieve a high GPA in the classroom, with a goal of 3.75 or higher. With playing both school volleyball and club, I have learned strong time-management skills.
My goal is to find a school that would be a great fit for me academically, athletically and personally. I am so excited to see what the next few years bring!
