Grace Blatnik '19 Recruiting Profile

    Starting on the varsity team as a freshman was a great beginning to my high school career.   I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice and leadership, despite the fact that we did not win all of our games or any trophies.   I strive to make it my personal goal, to not only attend each and every practice, but I take the initiative to work out, outside of scheduled practices, with individual coaching sessions and with an athletic trainer.   Since the age of 12, I set a goal for myself in club, to make the "national" team.   Once again, I have not only met that goal, but was able to do so, even playing up, at a new club.   The intangible skills I have developed have allowed me to be the best setter and all round player that I can be.  It has also provided me the opportunities to prepare myself to excel as a student athlete at the next level.
