Hi, my name is Jaimie Timbol, setter/DS for the class of 2019. I've been a captain for my rep and varsity teams, have placed top 10 Nationally and have won Provincial and National Golds with my leadership. I come from a family raised on the game of volleyball. My cousin played for UCONN Huskies as a setter, my older sister coaches 13U club and my little sister plans to be the next Misty May-Treanor.
I approach the sport of volleyball as an art and have developed my game to be a well-rounded player through quickness, athleticism and fundamental techniques. To be a solid defender and an offensive threat for my teammates, this is my role and the mission that I bring with maximum effort and seriousness. I'm driven by my passion for the game and play with a very high motor which translates into a positive disposition on the court. I love competing and embrace any type of challenge that helps push my mental boundaries. I'm willing to take any roll the coaches give me that best serves the team including setting, libero or defensive specialist.
I believe in a family-like team culture and surrounding myself with good people that have sound values and principals. Besides playing the game, my sister and I wanted to inspire other girls to play so we started a volleyball development program, volleyballstate.com, based on what we learnt from our mentor, Jose Seary from Orlando Tampa Volleyball Academy. I love taking photos and being active outdoors. I consider myself to be a well-rounded person with diverse experiences and lead a very balanced life between athletics, school and friends. As always family comes first! I have two loving parents and 3 sisters who I consider to be my best friends.
