Brooke Stevens '18 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since the 6th grade and I love it. I have only been with my rep team for the past 2 years and have been a part in helping them become the Number #2 ranked team in our province. Our team was the only team last year that defeated the eventual National East champion in Canada. I continue to progress with my development as a middle blocker and believe that my blocking ability is slightly ahead of my hitting at this time. I want to pursue a scholarship  in the US because I believe that the level of skill and competition that exists there would push me to be the best that I can be.  I am 6'1" and have very long arms and big hands, and I am very powerful. Although I do not yet touch 10', it is my goal to get there by next year. I study very hard and take my academics seriously. Last year I achieved an average in the mid 80's and plan to excel in school again this year. I think one of the best traits that I have is that I always have a smile on my face. I consider myself to be an excellent teammate and believe I can work to make others around me better. Given how far my skill level has come in the past 2 years with intense technical training, I know I have the ability to compete at the highest level, with a lot of hard work.
