Kyla Bell '22 Recruiting Profile

I currently start as an outside hitter and opposite on my club team which is Defensa Volleyball Club 18u. I have been honoured to be the captain of my team for the past three years which has helped me develop my leadership skills and become a reliable teammate on and off the court. In the last couple of years, I have had my share in many positions on the court. I currently am a right side but my coach does not hesitate to put me as power when needed. My speed allows me to cover the court and make sure no balls drop without an effort. I have dual citizenship as a Canadian and American. During my 17u season last spring, I was awarded the "Hustle and Heart" award on my team. 

Hustle and Heart: There is not a time in practice or matches this athlete isn't working at 100% effort level. It does not matter if it is a warm up, a drill or at match point, their effort to cheer, play and communicate remains the same. Their passion for the game spills out through everything that they do. They are the teammate that is forever cheering everyone on and is a constant source of energy on the court or sideline. They are never a negative source of energy, they come ready and always bring our energy up
