Hi, my name is Rachel Todd. I am a grade 12 student-athlete from Ontario, Canada and it has always been my dream to play NCAA volleyball while pursuing my university education. I am a 6-rotation player equally as good in offense as defense. I got inspired to play volleyball by my two older cousins who both received scholarships to American universities and had an excellent athletic and academic experience. I quickly developed a passion for volleyball and over the years I have committed to becoming the best player I can possibly be while balancing school work with club and high school practices, tournaments and fitness. I love competing, learning more about the game and my strengths as an individual and a team player. My best memory of a volleyball game was my 2013 city championship match where I lead my high school team to victory in a close fifth set match where we were down and I was able to make a play that proved to be the turning point. The experience of winning the city championships as a starter, captain and an essential member of the senior team when I was only a junior was very gratifying. I could not imagine my life without volleyball as it has opened so many opportunities for me to learn more about myself and others. I work very well in a team setting by interacting with people so I have decided to pursue business in my post secondary education. I want to get a business degree that will allow me to travel the world after university, so that I can have a lot of different experiences and get a sense of different cultures and ethnicities. I hope to eventually live in a metropolis city but live a life where I am always as busy as the city itself!
