My collegiate goals are to graduate with a degree in the medical field. Currently, I am focused on a nursing degree. Another one of my goals is to get a scholarship to play volleyball.
I have good teamwork skills. On my volleyball team, I must troubleshoot quite a bit. I am a leader on and off the court and the starting setter on my team. I encourage team member to run new plays and ask questions to my coach. I understand when my coach gives me feedback, I need to listen and use it to build my skills. Those are sometimes volleyball skills and other times personal skills. On the court, I understand that the mental is just as important as the physical game. As a setter, I have to be mentally tough and prepared to move on from mistakes.
As a person, I am highly motivated and competitive at everything I do, even dodgeball. At the age of eight, I started my own pet sitting business. Part of the proceeds of the business go to our local humane society. I enjoy trying new things and taking on new challenges.
Academically I feel it is important to get good grades, and I push myself to thrive in all my classes. I am not afraid to ask questions and get help. Since kindergarten, I have been in the dual immersion program and plan to graduate high school fully fluent in Spanish.
