Julissa Pernsteiner '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Julissa Pernsteiner, but everyone just calls me J. I am a strong 6 rotation player who specializes in the front row. I play outside, right side, and middle blocker. I have fast reflexes for covering others and good instincts for setting up blocks. The adrenaline rush and serotonin I get just from playing and cheering on my teammates is what makes me love volleyball. I have a loud personality which helps to encourage my team and intimidate competition. I started on the St. Mary’s Varsity High School Volleyball team my freshman, sophomore and junior years, and I hope to play there for my remaining high school years. I have played outside for most of my club and school years, but I also have experience middle blocking and being an opposite hitter. I am a hard worker on and off the court, maintaining my grades with a GPA of 4.2. I am looking for a college that will challenge me physically and mentally with programs in the sciences or medicine. I am very excited for my future in volleyball!
