Coming from a small but competitive school has really taught me, to work as hard as I possibly can for the team, and in the classroom. As a captain, encouraging others and making people feel confident is a responsibility I hold myself to whenever I'm on and off the court. Much of my character has been shaped by my supportive family that taught me to be hard-working, kind, strong, but most importantly, a leader.
Although I started playing later than many of my peers by only starting in 7th grade. Since then, I've relentlessly pursued playing opportunities, first through my local club, and now additionally through my high school team! By playing in club and in high school, I have learned that letting things go is the only way to improve, because if you hold on to that regret or mistake there's no moving forward.
I aspire to further my educational career at a 4-year college or university and study neuroscience or occupational therapy. In high school, I want to become a part of the National Honors Society when I'm a junior and graduate with a GPA of 4.0 or higher. I've always had a sense of determination on the court and in the classroom, and I hope to take that with me to the collegiate level.
