I feel like my family influenced me because we all have similar personalities. Also I've really learned perspective. In other words, I feel like there's always a different ways to look at something and I'm always open to listen. I change my mind a lot. The first time I went to a volleyball camps, I was in 3rd grade. My mom and her twin sister played volleyball in college and so did a bunch of my older second cousins. When we had family reunions I'd try playing with them. I always new that I was going to try out for volleyball. Through the years my family and I have really noticed how much better I get each season. Through playing volleyball I realized that it's a very big part in my life and I couldn't see me not playing in the future.
For high school, I'm really hoping that by the end of next year my GPA will go up even more. 9th grade I took a computer class. Turns out, it wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be. It brought my GPA down to a 3.38 from one C+. Definitely one of my regrets from 9th grade. I guess you could say it was an obstacle I went over, but if you look at my GPA now I brought it up to a 3.5. This year was my first time getting straight A's ever, if you'd believe that. An obstacle I went over during volleyball would definitely be when I was hitting wrong. I used to hit the ball behind my head in a way. It's hard to explain, but thank the heavens that I fixed my hit. A talent I have and I actually use while playing volleyball is I can get up really fast from laying on my back and it looks like I'm being possessed.
I also want to add on here the greatest play of my life because my friend is still trying to find the clip of me doing it. So imagine this: I'm in middle back. Someone on the other team goes up to hit outside. I read the play; the way her body was turning you could tell it was gonna be a line shot. I dive and get the ball up from the right back corner with ONE ARM!!!! AND it goes right to the setter. It was practically a perfect pass. I know right intense. As soon as I get the video y'all will see it on here.
