Tori Welliver '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi, My name is Tori Welliver (OH 2012). I am currently a 6'0", 150 lb Junior. I am most proud of being selected to the 2010 All-state (AA team), 2010 All-Region PLAYER OF THE YEAR as a Junior, 2009 All-Region Rookie of the year as a Sophomore and being selected as the lead of the All-Region Second team. I believe one of my best characteristics is my natural ability to become a well-respected and fun part of a team. One of my Club Coaches told my Mom that I am "phenomenal", she was talking about the whole package, not specifically my volleyball skills. My travel volleyball and softball teams have all commented that they think I am a wonderful person and are so glad I'm on their teams. I think this is my best trait because I can fit in on any team, and seem to become a key player. My sports are my inspiration and keep me going in my classwork. Although today I think I am leaning towards the sciences in Biology, veterinary, physical therapy, etc., I know this may change and therefore, am really undecided on a career path. The college I envision is a mid-size college....being from a small town, I'm not sure how I'd fit in the huge auditorium type classrooms. As far as location, I'm thinking something within 400 miles of Towanda, PA,. So it could be a drivable trip in a day for my Parents to come see us play. My parents enjoy being there to support us in our athletics or academic events. I don't think I would have to play as a Freshman, although that is certainly what I would be working towards. I think the key will be that I play on a team that can work hard and also have fun.
