I started playing volleyball at a young age, and over the years I've had the chance to develop and acquire new characteristics. Some of which are: learning to play as a team, creating confidence in you teammates, and having great leadership skills. As an athlete, sometimes you win while other times you lose, so I've learned to never give up and to take advantage of all the opportunities I am given. Furthermore, when many people doubted me because of my limited stature, I proved them wrong and showed them I was capable of even more. I like to work hard and force myself to do the best I can. These qualities I have taken over into the classroom too, always trying to turn-in above average work and excel in everything I do. As a future college student, I hope to find a university with a good volleyball program, however, what I look for the most, is one that offers a great education and the opportunity to progress in a professional, diverse environment. I believe what makes me stand out from other girls is that I play with a lot of passion and fierceness in court, I do not give up until that last point, I always play with the best of my abilities specially against great adversaries; just as I do in the classroom. I have a 3.9 GPA because I am very responsible with my classes and, like I said before, always try to turn-in above average work. These qualities and many more I believe makes me a great addition to any team.
