Personal Statement
For as long as I can remember, my family has always been an inspiration. My parents got divorced when I was very young but their love, support , and with well-founded moral values have made me the person and athlete I am today. It all started in sixth grade when I made the decision to enlist in the volleyball tryouts. Sadly, I didn't make the team, but that didn't stop me. Little twelve year old me did not give up. I took that no as a sign to keep trying. I took the rest of the year to train and practice daily until, finally in seventh grade, I made the school's volleyball team. I was so happy and I knew that I had made the right choice by not giving up, and because of that I can easily say I found my passion. Because of my persistent character, I was not going to let anyone tell me I couldn't do it,because I knew I could.
Since then I have learned a lot of what it means to be an athlete. I am a person that will always give my 100 percent and will never say no. I have great leadership skills and and I'm honest when it comes to every game. I am also a very friendly person and have great social skills. I have great time management and am a very punctual person. When it comes to the games, I always try to analyze everything before I do it, I try to do my plays intelligently so I can score for my team. My future plans include graduating high school and finding a school that is the right fit for me not just athletically but also academically. Education for me is the most important part, but I would really love to be given the opportunity to keep playing volleyball after high school because volleyball is my passion.
