My name is Jordan McGillicky, I have won 2 gold medals at the Western Canadian Nationals (2016 and 2018), 1 silver medal at Sask Provincals (2016), played on the 2016 Sask Summer Games as a team captain, was voted team MVP in my freshman year, received the coaches award in my senior year, and have played 3 out of 4 of my high school years on the senior varsity team. I would describe myself as a determined and hardworking individual on and off the courts.
Growing up I played a wide range of sports including basketball, softball, soccer, cheerleading, and volleyball. Each of these sports taught me valuable lessons that I will carry with me for life. However one sport had always remained atop all the others; volleyball. I knew I had found my main passion in life. Nothing else could compare to the sense of belonging I feel when I'm on the court.
I can't picture my life without volleyball in it. I consider myself a very dedicated, hardworking athlete on and off the court. Anything that can improve my skills I incorporate into my plan to better myself. I am constantly learning and improving. To achieve my goals of post-secondary volleyball I am willing to put in the work it will take to not only get there, but also excel and perform to my best potential once I get there.
