Rachel Walker '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Rachel Walker and I am a sophomore at Azle High School in Azle, TX.  For our Junior Varsity team this past season, I played all the way around and earned MVP honors.  I am currently 5'8", 110lbs and play primarily OH, and DS.  I am in my fourth year of club volleyball and this year made 2nd team for Tejas volleyball club, one of the top clubs in North Texas.  I am a team player and very coachable.  One of my greatest assets is my consistency on the court.  I am an excellent student with a 4.0 GPA and my main priority for college is to get a good education.  I love volleyball and if given the opportunity to play for a competitive program as a means to an education, then I am thrilled.  I have not ruled out any specific location of where I would like to go but do prefer a mid to larger size school.  I have not nailed down a specific major but am currently interested in business with a concentration in health sciences.  My next goal in volleyball is to concentrate more on the role of a defensive specialist.  I have played all areas on the court except for setter and I prefer OH over all positions but I plan to work on being even more versatile and adding skills to my defensive game so that I can be a better asset to a prospective school and my current teams.  I hope that this information will be helpful to you and generate some interest in my abilities.  My club schedule can be found on my NCSA profile... hope you can make a game!
