My coaches have said they appreciate my versatility – able to play outside, right side, defense or middle, and my work ethic because I help spur my team mates to train harder and maintain focus. I made the varsity team as a freshman and was named to the District 5-5A All-District Honorable Mention and Academic Team my junior, sophomore and freshman years.
My greatest accomplishment so far was last year playing for TAV’s Molten “Dream Team.” Coach Larry Smith asked me to take on the Middle position after our original 6’1” middle quit. Up to then our team struggled, but thanks to some great coaching and a few private lessons I was able to quickly adjust,, learn the new position and help drive the team to qualify at two regional qualifiers – Northern Lights and Pacific Northwest, and excel at the 2011 Nationals.
I received notification that I'm a Commended Merit Scholar. I plan to major in engineering and physics so I’m looking for the combination of a great engineering program and a volleyball team where I can be an impact player.
