Personal Statement

This year my goals are to increase my blocking and kill percentages. By doing so, I will contribute tremendously to my team as we will compete in National Qualifiers.

My beach volleyball experience in Galveston, Texas assisted me while training for indoor high school and club volleyball. Furthermore, I was selected for the USA's Youth A2 team and as a Continental Alternative player. For the past two years, I competed on the USA's Select Continental Team. I believe my beach volleyball and training with the USA team will prepare me next year's high school team as well as 2015-16 club team.

My aspiration is to be a well-rounded student athlete graduating in the top of my class. My dream is to play at a highly competitive collegiate level that offers a stellar training program and provides a prestigious education. Thereafter, I will play and travel with USA's Top National team.

Texas power league qualifier - Jan 17-19th. Colorado crossroads -Feb 27-Mar 1st. Northeast Qualifier - Apr 3-5th.
2014 Texas Tornados (16 Mizuno)
2013 Texas Tornados (15 Mizuno)
1st Place AAU Qualifier; placed 26th of 172 teams at AAU Nationals; participated in the Lone Star and SoCal National qualifiers. I was invited to participate in the Nicaragua trip but it conflicted with the USA team tournament. In Las Vegas, I attend the USA High Performance try-outs. I was offered another MB position for the Girls Select Team.
2012 Texas Tornados (15 Silver)
I made the top 14-Mizuno team for my club; however, with all the extra out-of-town qualifiers added to our schedule it made it difficult for my family financially. We were not suited for club traveling and fees cost this particular year. We decided it was best to compete on an older level but on a local traveling team. I was the starting Middle Blocker and built my confidence over time. At the end of the season, I was asked to tryout for the High Performance Program and was offered a Middle Blocker position. I was the only Texas player on my USA High Performance Team. Over the summer, I played in the Championship Tournament in Des Moines, IA.
2010 Texas Tornados (13 Mizuno)
I worked hard over the summer and transistioned from 2nd team RS to starting MB. I became a MB early in the season. We placed 2nd at the Lone Star National Qualifer and earned a bid for Nationals. We competed in the National Tournament (Jr. Olympic) in Atlanta, Georgia.
2009 Texas Tornados (12 Mizuno)
This was my first year to play volleyball, I saw little playing time but I strived to work hard and take extra lessons to gain the confidence to compete at this elite level as a right side.

In 2012, I was selected to play on the USA HP Girl's Select Continental Team as a Middle Blocker. The training and High Performance Championships was held in Des Moines, IA. We trained for with the team for 5 days and competed in a 5-day international tournament in July 2012.

Training is a 45 minute intensive workout twice a week. I strive to gain speed and agility, work on conditioning and weight-lifting for volleyball stamina.
Speed and Agility Camp

Training provided by Cypress Springs. It is a 90 minute workout, 4 days a week for 6 weeks.
