Nayelis Kuilan Mendez '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Nayelis, and I was born in Puerto Rico but currently living in Texas. I have been playing club/travel volleyball since I was 8 years old. Also, I lived in Massachusetts during my sophomore year. During that time, I stayed active training with the masculine volleyball team as there was no female team nearby.

I play outside and backrow and I am always available and open to play any other position I would be needed in. I enjoy contributing to my teammates development and treat them as family. Volleyball is more than a sport to me. It has become essential to me because it has taught me many valuable skills inside and outside the court. The skill that I acquired from playing volleyball that I value the most is discipline.

Academically, this is my last year of high school and now playing travel volleyball with Venom Volleyball Club. Regarding to College, I am interested in the Nursing programs and PA programs therefore looking forward to keeping learning and sharpening the iron of success.
