Iris Hernandez '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, as a graduating senior of 2024, I aspire to pursue higher education and would love to continue playing volleyball. I am looking for a Texas university as I have VA benefits that cover tuition in TX. I am considering a degree in health and/or human service. I'm not honestly 100% sure about which program of study I'm most interested in, but I'm a very social, caring, and an energetic individual who enjoys helping others. I'm usually the friend, family member, and teammate that shows up and out in various settings. I love being a part of a team, I am coachable, and enjoy hitting and playing defense. I've experienced many challenges throughout my academic and volleyball journey from struggling with a learning disability to wishing I was a tad bit taller on the court, but I never quit and pushed through year after year. 5'4 is definitely not the preferred height of a hitter, but year after year I was placed as an outside or right side hitter. If given an opportunity, I'll give 100%
