Emily Fowlkes '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Emily Fowlkes, I am a 6ft Middle Blocker in the Graduating Class of 2020. I live in Benbrook Texas and Volleyball is my sport. I have been playing volleyball for the past 7 years, and it has always been my focus and motivation in life.   I work very hard to be an exceptional athlete and student on and off the court, and making varsity my freshman year has helped mold me into the leader I am today.  It forced me to mature quickly, and I strive to maintain the leadership qualities I received from it..

Being able to attend college to further my education while also playing volleyball has been the main goal I've set for myself and hope to achieve. I want to succeed; I want to succeed in academics and in volleyball, for my family, team, and in life.

I fight to be the best player I can, for my team, my school, my family but mostly for myself. I work for what matters to me most, and it shows. I have been a Co-Captain on Varsity since my Freshman year,  and it is something I am proud of. I continue to prove my leadership by always having and displaying a strong work ethic and by being an example for the younger athletes. I feel that my love and passion for bettering not only myself but also my team, would make me an excellent addition to your program.
