Thank you for taking the time to check out my profile! My name is Megan Wahrmund, I am 17 years old, and a junior at Fredericksburg (Texas) high school. I consider myself to be a hard-working, God-loving, student athlete who gives her all, in the classroom and on the court. Volleyball has played a major role in my life! It has developed a love for team work, “a never give up until the game is over” attitude, lose and you learn mentality, a reminder that we are role models on and off the court, an understanding that feedback makes you better, and that there is always something more to learn! I live on a working ranch and many of these apply to the things my family has taught us while working our ranch together. We live 45 minutes from school and a good (4) four-hour round trip from my Beach Volleyball Club and any of the big Austin or San Antonio clubs. So, making the commitment to play volleyball just makes the “getting better” even more special! My Dad played football at Texas State and my older sister is playing volleyball in the Patriot League and I see how the commitment to their sports is not just about playing but, becoming the best you can be in life and can lead to life-long success! If I’m not on the court or in the sand or studying, I’m probably at FCA leading a huddle, singing at church or leading an ACTS retreat, working on a speech for FFA competition, cheerleading, driving a skid-steer or bull dozer for my Dad on the ranch or riding a horse working cattle. I like to work hard and get things done!
