I started experimenting with volleyball when covid started around the middle of 6th grade. After that I played for the school team in 7th and 8th grade and realized I actually liked it a lot. I joined club during 8th grade and that gave me a really good opportunity to get better and be more consistent. The summer before high school, I knew I had to train really hard because I would be playing with 18 year olds and I had to be able to compete with them. The entire summer consisted of me at Rice University, Houston Skyline, and other club camps playing for 6 hours a day just looking for improvement, and my hard work payed off. I made varsity as a freshman and was so thrilled to be able to play at a mature level. 9th grade year I switched clubs to be able to travel and compete in big tournaments and me and my team went to nationals in Las Vegas. Currently I just started my 10th grade school season and switch between outside and middle. I am a very versatile utility player as I am well rounded in all aspects of skill. I am a very hard working athlete and playing volleyball is what I always look forward to. I never complain about going to practice because there is nothing else I would rather do. My goals in college are to play d1 as well as go pre-med which is a lot but nothing I can't handle.
